Mplus Foundation Presents Diverse PrEP Service Models
Mplus presented various community-led PrEP service delivery models to Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health, aiming to promote diverse and lifestyle-appropriate access to HIV prevention services. They also highlighted an urgent issue: the need to develop a sustainable reimbursement mechanism for community-based PrEP services — a key component for long-term PrEP sustainability in Thailand.
On July 4, 2025, Mplus Foundation participated in an exhibition promoting the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), under the theme “Equality with Safety: HPV x Condom – Safe, No Matter the Route,” held at the main auditorium of King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. The event was organized by the Department of Disease Control, with Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health, presiding over the opening ceremony.
The event aimed to enhance knowledge, awareness, and access to a variety of STI prevention services for youth, university students, and the general public. Several booths provided education and services on STI prevention, including
💜 Free HPV 9-valent vaccinations for female students
💜 Mplus Foundation's educational booth showcasing diverse PrEP service delivery models
💜 Free HIV self-test kits with rapid results
💜 Free condom and lubricant distribution, along with HIV/STI awareness
💜 Services from Pride Clinic, CU Buddy Clinic, Teen Club, and many fun activity booths!
