The only way to know for sure whether you have HIV is to get tested. Testing is the only way to confidently know your status. Once you know your HIV status, you can make informed and safe decisions about your health – whether it’s for prevention, treatment, or protecting those you care about.

The Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 to 64 get tested for HIV at least once in their lifetime as part of routine health care. More frequent testing is recommended for those who engage in behaviors that may increase their risk of HIV. Even if you and your partner are in a monogamous relationship, it’s important that both of you get tested to clearly understand each other’s HIV status.
