Sisters Foundation Pattaya

Sister is Thailand’s first foundation established specifically to address the unique needs of transgender women. Widely known as The Sister Foundation or The Transgender Community Center, it serves as a safe space built on understanding, respect, and sincere support for transgender identities.

Founded in June 2004 by Population Services International (PSI) Thailand, a global non-profit organization, The Sister Foundation was created to empower transgender individuals with their own space, ensure their right to health services, and advocate for equal treatment in society. PSI was one of the pioneers in advancing transgender health and rights in Thailand.

Over the years, the Sister Foundation has provided a wide range of services—from mental and physical health counseling to comprehensive access to sexual health care, as well as advocacy for transgender rights. The foundation actively engages with communities to challenge social stigma and discrimination, aiming to shift public attitudes through proactive outreach and education.

With ongoing support from government agencies, private sector partnerships, and individual donations, The Sister Foundation continues to thrive, driving change at both the community and policy levels. It remains a beacon of hope and solidarity for transgender women across the country.
