The SimpPrEP Project is a research initiative designed to study the feasibility and effectiveness of using event-driven PrEP, also known as PrEP on-demand, among men who have sex with men (MSM) who are at risk of HIV infection. The goal is to make HIV prevention easier, more convenient, and better suited to each individual’s behavior.

Participants in the project will receive PrEP medication free of charge throughout the study period, along with HIV testing, STI screening, and close follow-up from doctors and research staff. This is to carefully assess the safety, effectiveness, and medication use of each participant.

This project represents another important step for Thailand in developing HIV prevention models that better fit real-life situations and help ensure sustainable access to PrEP in the future.
