The SimpPrEP Project is a research initiative designed to study the feasibility and effectiveness of on-demand PrEP—a method of HIV prevention tailored to specific sexual encounters—among men who have sex with men (MSM), a group at elevated risk of HIV infection. The project aims to make HIV prevention more accessible, convenient, and adaptable to individual behaviors.

Participants in the study will receive PrEP medication free of charge throughout the research period, along with regular blood tests, HIV screenings, and close health monitoring by a team of medical professionals and research staff. This approach ensures careful assessment of the medication’s safety, effectiveness, and patterns of use.

This project marks a significant step forward for Thailand in developing real-life HIV prevention strategies and promoting sustainable access to PrEP in the future.
